Overview

The few numbers the ED and the board look at first, and what needs attention this week.

How to read this page

Each tile opens the page it comes from. The attention list pulls the most urgent work lists from across the hub. “What’s in Salesforce today” shows which parts of the hub read real data now and which wait on data ADK isn’t capturing yet. The filter bar applies here too.

Every number counts memberships unless it says people. A Family membership is one membership covering several people. Renewal rate only counts memberships whose 60-day grace has ended, so the last two months read “In progress.” Click any number, bar or row to see the members behind it, and use the filter bar to narrow to a chapter or membership type.

Giving levels

Households by total giving: Supporter, Timberline, Summit and High Peaks, the same levels as the giving history panel. In Salesforce: Account Giving Level

As of Oct 3, 2026

Donor retention is the share of donors from Oct 2024–Sep 2025 who gave again in Oct 2025–Sep 2026 (rolling 12 months), the same measure the Fundraising Effectiveness Project uses for its sector benchmark. Any gift of $250 or more needs a written receipt for the donor’s tax deduction.

Nightly online-gift batches against Stripe deposits. In Salesforce: 152 gift batches Stripe payout amounts need a Stripe feed

As of Oct 3, 2026
How to read this page

Each night the online gifts from the day are grouped into one batch. The Stripe deposit should equal the batch total minus Stripe fees. A batch can’t show as balanced until its expected total is filled in.

Sample scenario: batch totals come from Salesforce; Stripe fees, deposits and the balance check need a Stripe payout feed, which isn’t connected yet.

Definitions

What each number on the hub means, in one place. When a number is questioned, this is the answer.

As of Oct 3, 2026
Current membershipPaid and in term today, or inside the 60-day grace after expiration (shown as “In grace” in member lists). ⚠ ADK and the hub must agree this definition before go-live: on Oct 3 Salesforce had about 13,500 memberships flagged current, and the August roster said 15,225.
Membership typesSalesforce “Adult” is shown as Individual, the name on adk.org. Organization memberships (6 on Oct 3) are left off the type filter.
People coveredEveryone on a current membership: the primary member, a second adult on a Family membership, and children under 19. ADK ruled the age-out at 19 (Sept 2026); the public website still says “children under 18,” so the two should be aligned.
Renewal rateOf memberships that came due in a period, the share that renewed on time or within the 60-day grace. For the 12-month rate, memberships still inside their grace are left out until they resolve. A single month shows “In progress” until everyone due that month has cleared the grace.
First-year renewalRenewal rate for members coming up on their first renewal.
LapsedUnpaid once the 60-day grace after expiration has passed.
ExpiredLapsed for 6 months after the term ended with no renewal (Laurie’s rule, July 2026).
CancelledThe member asked to stop. Cancelled members get no renewal notices.
ReinstatedA lapsed member who paid again before expiring.
Net growthCurrent memberships today minus current memberships 12 months ago.
Engagement scoreToday’s data (default): gift 45, workshop or certification 33, committee or officer 22, the three activities Salesforce holds now. Members are grouped as no recorded activity, one activity, or two or more. Full score (future): 0–100 from activity in the last 12 months: gift 20, event 15, workshop or certification 15, volunteering 15, email open 15, committee or officer 10, lodge stay 10. Low = under 20.
Lifetime valueEvery dues payment and gift a member has made. Store and web sales will be added once captured.
Donor retentionShare of last year’s donors who gave again this year. Sector benchmark 43.3% (Fundraising Effectiveness Project, 2025).
First-time donor retentionShare of last year’s first-time donors who gave again this year. Sector benchmark 18.9%.
Receipt owedA gift of $250 or more with no acknowledgment letter. The IRS requires a written receipt for the donor to deduct it.
Giving levelFrom each household’s total recorded giving (the Account’s Giving Level field, also shown on the giving history panel): Supporter under $500 (bands: under $100, $100–$249, $250–$499), Timberline $500–$4,999, Summit $5,000–$24,999, High Peaks $25,000+.
Volunteer valueVolunteer hours × $36.14, the 2026 national value of a volunteer hour (Independent Sector).
